Description

If you were a $15k+ Broadcast monitor that spent most of its' life showing pretty pictures of big feature films and television shows, what would you do when with your spare time when you retired??

Introducing "A Day in the life of a Retired Broadcast".

Notes

This shoot was done as part of a promotional material shoot for 'my' company. The company is a post house, Oxygen Post (Post, as in Post Production Editing House. TV and Movies and such).

Those monitors are really worth an arm and a leg, but they have long since died, and so great props for this shoot. To anyone in the Film/TV industry, seeing broadcast monitors in the water, let alone at the beach, is absolutely crazy. So it has quite an 'oh wow' factor for them, which is awesome for us. I must say, even knowing that those monitors are well and truly dead, I STILL straggled with putting it down in the water/sand.

Oh, and the people on the beach watching us dump three monitors down in the ocean had "what the f....." written all over their faces. Heh, a typical theme with me it would seem.

The lovely lady sitting on the far monitor is my good friend and often model, Amy Beales. Hit up my gallery for more photos of this stunning young lass. Oh, and she is also in my industry, so she was on as much of a buzz as me while we did this =p

Technical stuff. Added a vignette. Tweaked the luminance levels. Little minor things.
